It ain't the watermelon crawl yet

Miss Ella Sue is crawling. Crawling! Which has brought me face to face with how dirty the corners of my house can get as well as how many electrical sockets and electrical cords I have running through any given room. Nothing appeals to Ella as much as a tasty electrical cord. If only sweet potatoes had the same property. It has also put Fitz in the direct path of Ella or as he would call her " Jaws". Why might you ask, because if there is one thing in this world that Baby girl loves it is Fitz. When Fitz walks into the room its as if the circus has come to town, pitched a tent in our living room and all the clowns know her name. So of course, she insists on eating Fitz. I mean, don't we all eat what we love? Pre-crawl, Ella would find ways to wiggle, pull and roll herself to wherever Fitz happened to be taking a nap. It was much like watching Jaws attack in really really slow motion. So slow, that Fitz could live out at least 8 of his lives while she motivates over to him. But now, well now she has picked up the pace. Don't get me wrong she is no trans-am, but she has an un-erring sense of determination and plows forward like my first civic did through 5 years of no oil change (I can feel Drew cringing). Hence, Fitz's life has also started picking up the pace. He isn't running yet but he is being moved from all his sunny nap spots. So instead of moving say, three times a day, Fitz's is now putting some time in treading the carpet. Come to think of it, maybe what I should do is cover Fitz in sweet potatoes and hold him down to trick Baby girl into eating her lunch. Poor Fitz, in his old age he has been reduced to a sweet potato lolly pop.
