Miss Ella has been eating real live very mushed up food. Well what I should say is she has been having mushed up food trickily shoved into her mouth. Who thought a baby who had just figured out she had hands 3 months ago could be so adept at blocking a spoon. My lunch revolves around one tiny tablespoon of mushed food that we are trying to feed Miss Ella Sue. One tablespoon that takes, as much as an hour, to feed to Ella. So there we are, Drew and I on either side of Ella making exaggerated eating motions and saying "Yummmmm" over and over again. As if Ella understands that Yummmmm means good anymore that she understands Moooo is suppose to sound like what a comes out of a cow. The other thing I have been trying to do is eat with my mouth open. This is based on a book I read that said to try and show Ella how to chew. Eating with my mouth open is like cursing in church or not saying yes mamm or ya'll. It can not be done. I can not do it. There I am trying to force my mouth open while trying to trick Ella's mouth open. I am not accomplishing either one of these things. Drew however, seems to have a with presenting Ella's food that convinces her she should try it. He also has a charming song that he sings every time she takes a bite. This little ditty is all Ella needs to hear to give a toothy grin and clap her hands together in delight. Dinner with a show, that is what Ella is getting. And what Lady can resist that?
